Samsung Omnia Pro B7610 slider gets official reveal

Samsung’s being tight-lipped with the details, but at least it did us the solid of making its Omnia Pro B7610 (aka, B7610 Louvre) QWERTY slider official today at CommunicAsia. The phone on the right is the Omnia Pro B7320, which, if we’re not mistaken, is just the Jack candybar already available to AT&T customers. Unfortuantely, Samsung isn’t giving out any detail on the B7610 so we’ll have to go on believing in the rumored 3.5-inch AMOLED display with 800×480 pixel resolution, 5.1 megapixel camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA data, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 1GB built-in with microSDHC expansion, and 800MHz processor driving Windows Mobile until they tell us something different.

Theremin-Controlled Mario Offers a Glimpse of a Bizarre Alternate History of Motion Gaming [Gaming]

Now, there are officially three things you can do with a theremin: you can score a low-budget sci-fi film; you can join a prog rock cover band; and, as of today, you can play Super Mario Bros, awkwardly.

YouTube user conquerearth hooked up his theremin to a PC, mapping its tone—which, for those of you who haven’t been to a science museum in a while, is modulated by your hand’s proximity to the device antennae—to a rough approximation of joystick input, which is then translated to the basic left/right/jump/run controls required for Super Mario. It works fairly well judging by the demonstration, though I do think the video could have done with a slightly different score. [Nowhereelse]

The SkiErg is able to offer a comprehensive exercise programs, where each pull will engage the legs, arms, shoulders and core in a downwards “crunch,” making sure your body is well oiled with sweat once you’re done with it. All pulls will finish by extending the arms down along the hips with knees partly bent. This low-impact, high calorie-burning exercise is suitable for all ages and abilities, so age is not a problem here. Interested parties will have to fork out $730 including shipping to bring the SkiErg home.

Is Dell Working On An Android Smartphone? [Dell]

Is this Dell’s first cellphone? That is at least what one man and his blurry camera seem to think.

After what seems like years of ‘will they? won’t they?’ speculation this pic has appeared on the Chinese site PDAFans and is at the least a vaguely Pre-looking device baring a Dell logo. It is rumored to be released by the end of the year and assuming this is real it looks like it will be running Android. [PDAFans] via [engadget]

Leaked Olympus E-P1 Micro Four Thirds compact has us hot, bothered

It’s not scheduled to be announced until tomorrow, but it looks like Olympus’ Micro Four Thirds tribute to the classic rangefinder has leaked out onto these here Internets looking every bit as handsome as the top-side leak seen earlier. Remember, we’re talking about a DSLR-sized sensor stuffed inside that retro compact body. Judging by the pics of E-P1, we’re looking at a stock, 17mm lens with an interchangeable 14-42mm (3x) zoom lens available at launch. One more day and we’ll have prices, ship dates, and full spec-sheet to share — can you wait? 3x lens and few more color variations in the gallery below.

Is this Dell’s Android smartphone ditty?

Mr. BlurryCam, meet Dell’s first cellphone. At least that’s what the forum jockeys are claiming on Chinese site PDAFans. We have no way to authenticate the claim but whatever we’ve got here is sporting a Dell logo on a Pre-esque handset running Android somewhere in China where the handset is expected to launch by the end of the year. A scenario that matches the Dell smartphone rumors to a tee.
